We were charged with helping change the perception of Flipboard from merely a news aggregator app to a true online community.
The
Solution
We collaborated with this Palo Alto-based app to launch its first brand campaign, and the resulting creative taps directly into the pop culture zeitgeist. We chose to position the platform directly against its competitors and articulate what the brand isn’t.
What We Did
Rather than labeling Flipboard as a news app, community or social magazine, we defined it by what it isn’t. It’s not a hub for “fake news” or trolls, nor an echo chamber like social media. It blends technology and journalism, curating quality news for over 100 million readers monthly.
